Toppings

Burger Assembly

Method

Prepare Burger Patties

  1. 1

    Mix Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine 1 pound of ground beef, 1 tsp of salt, and 0.5 tsp of black pepper. Mix gently until just combined.

  2. 2

    Form Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each to prevent puffing during cooking.

Cook Bacon

  1. 3

    Cook Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook 4 slices of bacon until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside on paper towels to drain excess grease.

Cook Burger Patties

  1. 4

    Grill or Pan-Fry

In the same skillet (or on a grill), cook the burger patties over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patties and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.

  2. 5

    Add Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.

Assemble Burgers

  1. 6

    Build the Burger

On the bottom half of each burger bun, place a cooked patty with melted cheese, a slice of crispy bacon, a leaf of lettuce, a slice of tomato, and pickles. Add ketchup and mustard to taste.

  2. 7

    Top and Serve

Place the top half of the burger bun on each assembled burger and serve immediately.
