Take the ribeye steak out of the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking. This will help it cook more evenly.

Generously season both sides of the ribeye steak with salt and black pepper.

Heat a large skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Add the olive oil, and once it’s hot, place the steak in the pan.

Cook the ribeye steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, depending on thickness. Add crushed garlic cloves to the pan for additional flavor.
