Prepare the Glass
Chill a rocks glass by filling it with ice water and setting it aside.

Mix the Ingredients
In a cocktail shaker, add Meyers Dark Rum, fresh lime juice, and simple syrup. Fill the shaker with ice and shake well for about 15 seconds.

Strain and Serve
Empty the ice water from the chilled glass and strain the mixture from the shaker into the glass over fresh ice.

Garnish
Garnish the drink with fresh mint leaves and a lime wheel on the rim of the glass.
