Caviar Preparation

Serving Garnishes

Method

Caviar Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Caviar

Gently rinse the Hackleback Sturgeon caviar under cold, filtered water. Be careful not to break the delicate pearls.

  2. 2

    Season the Caviar

In a small bowl, combine the rinsed caviar with sea salt, lemon zest, and a pinch of black pepper. Stir gently to incorporate the flavors.

  3. 3

    Chill the Caviar

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Serving Instructions

  1. 4

    Prepare Serving Plate

Arrange the crackers or blinis on a serving plate. You can warm the blinis slightly if desired.

  2. 5

    Add Caviar and Garnishes

Using a small spoon, place a dollop of the seasoned caviar on each cracker or blini. Top with a small amount of sour cream and a sprinkle of chopped chives.

  3. 6

    Garnish with Lemon

Place lemon wedges around the serving plate to add a fresh touch and for guests to squeeze over the caviar if they wish.
