Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Ribeye

Rub the ribeye steaks with olive oil, followed by salt, black pepper, and garlic powder on both sides.

  2. 2

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat (around 450-500°F or 232-260°C).

  3. 3

    Grill the Steak

Place the seasoned ribeye steaks on the grill. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side until you get a nice sear, then flip and grill for an additional 4-5 minutes for medium-rare (adjust time based on desired doneness).

  4. 4

    Add Rosemary

During the last minute of cooking, add fresh rosemary sprigs on top of the steaks for added flavor.

  5. 5

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute.

Mashed Potatoes Preparation

  1. 6

    Boil the Potatoes

Peel and chop the russet potatoes into quarters. Place them in a large pot, cover with cold water, and add a pinch of salt. Bring to a boil and cook for about 15-20 minutes or until fork-tender.

  2. 7

    Drain and Mash

Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Use a potato masher to mash the potatoes until smooth.

  3. 8

    Add Butter and Milk

Add butter and milk to the mashed potatoes. Stir until well combined and creamy. Adjust the consistency with more milk if needed.

  4. 9

    Season the Potatoes

Season with salt and black pepper to taste, mixing well to incorporate.
