Preparing the Shrimp

Coat the shrimp
In a medium bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs and buttermilk. Dip each shrimp into the egg mixture, then coat it in the flour mixture. Set aside on a plate.

Heat the oil
In a large pot or deep skillet, pour in the vegetable oil and heat over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). Use a thermometer for accuracy.

Making the Buffalo Sauce

Prepare the sauce
In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Once melted, stir in the hot sauce, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, and honey. Mix well until combined and heated through, about 2-3 minutes.
Combining and Serving

Toss the shrimp in sauce
In a large bowl, combine the fried shrimp with the prepared buffalo sauce. Toss until all the shrimp are well coated.

Serve immediately with celery sticks and blue cheese dressing on the side, if desired.
