Seafood Base

Seasoning and Sauce

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Seafood

In a large bowl, combine the seawhip and shrimp. Drizzle with lemon juice, and season with salt and black pepper. Let marinate for about 15 minutes.

  2. 2

    Chop Vegetables

While the seafood is marinating, chop the red and green bell peppers, red onion, and mince the garlic. Set aside.

  3. 3

    Chop Fresh Herbs

Rinse and chop the fresh parsley, and set aside for garnish.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Sauté Vegetables

In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Once hot, add the diced red and green bell peppers, chopped red onion, and minced garlic. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes, until the vegetables are tender.

  2. 5

    Add Seafood

Add the marinated seawhip and shrimp to the skillet. Cook for about 5-6 minutes or until the seafood is cooked through and opaque.

  3. 6

    Add Sauce

Pour in the coconut milk, stir to combine, and let simmer for an additional 3-4 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.

  4. 7

    Final Seasoning

Sprinkle chili flakes for an extra kick, and adjust salt and pepper to taste.

Serving

  1. 8

    Garnish and Serve

Remove from heat, garnish with chopped fresh parsley, and serve family style in a large serving bowl.
