Dumpling Filling
Dumpling Wrappers
Cooking
Method
Prepare Filling
- 1
Mix the Filling
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, chopped green onions, minced garlic, minced ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper.
- 2
Combine Ingredients
Use your hands or a spoon to mix all the ingredients until well combined. Ensure the mixture is uniform.
Assemble Gyoza
- 3
Fill the Wrappers
Take a gyoza wrapper and place about 1 tablespoon of the pork filling in the center.
- 4
Seal the Dumpling
Wet the edges of the wrapper with a little water, fold it in half over the filling, and pinch the edges to seal. Make pleats on one side if desired. Repeat until all wrappers are filled.
Cook Gyoza
- 5
Heat the Pan
In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
- 6
Pan-Fry the Gyoza
Place the gyoza in the skillet, flat side down, and cook for about 2-3 minutes or until the bottoms are golden brown.
- 7
Add Water and Steam
Carefully add 100 ml of water to the skillet and cover immediately. Allow the gyoza to steam for about 5-7 minutes, or until the water has evaporated.
- 8
Finish Cooking
Remove the lid and let the gyoza cook for another 2 minutes to achieve a crispy bottom. Once done, transfer them to a plate.
