Miso Soup

Method

Miso Soup

  1. 1

    Prepare the Broth

In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a gentle boil over medium heat.

  2. 2

    Add Miso

Once the water is boiling, reduce the heat to low and whisk in 3 tablespoons of miso paste until fully dissolved.

  3. 3

    Add Tofu and Seaweed

Carefully add 1 cup of cubed silken tofu and 1 tablespoon of dried seaweed (Wakame) to the miso broth. Let it simmer for 5 minutes.

  4. 4

    Garnish

Remove from heat and sprinkle 2 tablespoons of sliced green onions on top before serving.

Steamed Edamame

  1. 5

    Prepare the Edamame

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and add 2 cups of edamame pods.

  2. 6

    Cook the Edamame

Boil the edamame for about 5-6 minutes, or until the pods are tender.

  3. 7

    Drain and Season

Drain the edamame in a colander and sprinkle with 1 teaspoon of salt while still warm. Toss to coat.
