In a small pot, add the roasted brown rice and enough water to cover it. Rinse the rice under cold water to remove any excess starch.

Toast the Rice
Drain the rinsed rice and place it in a dry skillet over medium heat. Toast the rice for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes fragrant and begins to pop. Remove from heat and set aside.

In a kettle, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Once boiling, remove from heat and let it cool for about 2-3 minutes to reach the ideal brewing temperature (around 80-85°C or 176-185°F).

Add 2 tablespoons of green tea leaves and the toasted brown rice to the hot water. Let it steep for about 2-3 minutes.
