Tito's Tap Of The Day

Method

Tito's Tap Of The Day

  1. 1

    Chill and salt the glass

Briefly chill a 16-oz (pint) glass by filling it with ice and cold water while you prepare the rim (about 1 minute). Discard the ice water, run the lime wedge around the glass rim to moisten it, then dip the rim into the coarse salt so it adheres. Set the glass aside.

  2. 2

    Add ice

Fill the salted glass with 6 ice cubes, leaving room at the top for liquid and beer head.

  3. 3

    Measure and combine base liquids

Pour 44 ml Tito's Handmade Vodka into the glass over the ice. Add 15 ml fresh lime juice and 15 ml simple syrup. These balance the vodka and beer—use fresh lime juice for the brightest flavor.

  4. 4

    Add lemonade

Add 60 ml cold fresh lemonade to the glass. Gently stir the vodka, lime juice, simple syrup, and lemonade together with a long spoon or stirrer just to combine (2–3 gentle turns).

  5. 5

    Top with draft beer

Slowly top the mixture with 355 ml cold draft beer (pale ale or lager), pouring down the side of the glass to preserve a nice head. Pour gently until the glass is nearly full; leave a little room for garnish.

  6. 6

    Final integration

Give one very gentle stir (1 turn) to marry the beer with the vodka-lemonade mixture without flattening the carbonation.

  7. 7

    Garnish and serve

Garnish with a lime wheel on the rim and a fresh mint sprig (optional). Serve immediately while the draft is cold and carbonated.
