Method

Brewing the Tea

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil over medium-high heat.

  2. 2

    Steep Tea

Once the water is boiling, add 4 tablespoons of Thai tea leaves. Remove from heat and let steep for 5-7 minutes.

  3. 3

    Add Sugar

After steeping, strain the tea into a pitcher to remove the tea leaves. Stir in 1 cup of sugar until fully dissolved.

  4. 4

    Cool the Tea

Let the sweetened tea cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until chilled.

Preparing the Cream

  1. 5

    Mix Cream Ingredients

In a separate bowl, mix together 1 cup of evaporated milk and 1 tablespoon of sweetened condensed milk until well combined.

Assembling the Drink

  1. 6

    Prepare Glasses

In each serving glass, place 1 cup of ice.

  2. 7

    Pour Tea

Pour the chilled sweetened Thai tea over the ice until the glass is about 2/3 full.

  3. 8

    Add Cream

Gently pour the cream mixture on top of the tea, allowing it to create a layered effect.

  4. 9

    Garnish

Optionally, add a piece of star anise for garnish.

  5. 10

    Serve

Stir gently before drinking and enjoy your refreshing Thai iced tea!
