Prepare Sticky Rice

Soak the Rice
Rinse the glutinous rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Then, soak the rice in water for at least 4 hours or overnight.

Steam the Rice
Drain the soaked rice and place it in a steamer lined with cheesecloth. Steam over boiling water for about 25-30 minutes until the rice is tender and sticky.
Make Coconut Sauce

Combine Ingredients
In a saucepan, combine the coconut milk, sugar, and salt. Cook over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Do not bring to a boil.

Mix with Sticky Rice
Once the rice is cooked, transfer it to a large bowl and pour about 3/4 of the coconut sauce over the sticky rice. Mix well and let it sit for about 30 minutes to absorb the flavors.
Prepare Toppings

Slice Mango
Peel the ripe mangoes and slice them into thin wedges or cubes.

Optional Topping
If using sesame seeds or mung beans, toast them in a dry pan over medium heat until fragrant.
Serve

Plate the Dish
To serve, place a portion of the sticky rice on a plate, top with mango slices, and drizzle with the remaining coconut sauce. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds or mung beans if desired.
