Tea Preparation

Method

Brewing the Tea

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a kettle, bring 2 cups of fresh water to a boil.

  2. 2

    Add Green Tea Leaves

Once the water has boiled, remove it from heat and let it cool for about 1-2 minutes to reach an optimal temperature (around 175°F or 80°C). Add 2 teaspoons of green tea leaves to the hot water.

  3. 3

    Steep the Tea

Allow the tea leaves to steep in the hot water for 2-3 minutes. Do not steep longer to avoid bitterness.

  4. 4

    Strain the Tea

After steeping, strain the tea into a cup to remove the leaves.

  5. 5

    Add Honey and Lemon

Stir in 1 teaspoon of honey for sweetness and add a slice of lemon to enhance flavor. Adjust honey to taste.
