Pancake Batter
Method
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Batter
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
- 2
Mix Wet Ingredients
In another bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- 3
Combine Mixtures
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined. Do not overmix; a few lumps are fine.
- 4
Heat the Pan
Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly grease it with butter or cooking spray.
- 5
Cook the Pancakes
Pour 1/3 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges look set, about 2-3 minutes.
- 6
Flip and Finish Cooking
Flip the pancakes and cook for another 1-2 minutes on the other side, until golden brown.
- 7
Serve
Stack the pancakes on a plate and serve warm with syrup, butter, or your favorite toppings.
