Method

Prepare the Shrimp

    Boil the Shrimp

    In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add lemon slices, Old Bay seasoning, and salt.

    Cook the Shrimp

    Once the water is boiling, carefully add the shrimp. Cook for about 2-3 minutes or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.

    Ice Bath

    Immediately remove the shrimp from the pot and transfer them to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process. Let them cool for about 5 minutes.

    Drain and Chill

    Drain the shrimp from the ice water and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Make the Cocktail Sauce

    Combine Ingredients

    In a medium bowl, mix together 1 cup of ketchup, 2 tablespoons of horseradish, 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce to taste.

    Adjust Seasoning

    Taste the cocktail sauce and adjust the horseradish or hot sauce according to your preference.

Serve

    Plate the Shrimp

    Arrange the chilled shrimp on a serving platter.

    Add Sauce

    Serve the shrimp with the prepared cocktail sauce in a separate bowl.
