Preparing the Brussels Sprouts

Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Prepare the Brussels Sprouts
Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and remove any yellow or damaged leaves. Cut them in half from top to bottom.
Roasting

Toss with Olive Oil
In a large bowl, toss the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.

Roast the Brussels Sprouts
Spread the Brussels sprouts on a baking sheet in a single layer. Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy on the outside.

Make the Maple Reduction
In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine maple syrup and balsamic vinegar. Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for 5-7 minutes, until slightly thickened.
Glazing the Brussels Sprouts

Once the Brussels sprouts are roasted, remove them from the oven and drizzle the maple glaze over them. Toss gently to coat. Serve warm.
