Prepare the Hamburger Patty
In a bowl, mix ground beef with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Form into a patty.

Cook the Patty
Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook the hamburger patty for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked. Remove from heat and set aside.

Prepare the Beef Gravy
In the same skillet used for the patty, add flour and cook for 1 minute. Gradually whisk in beef broth, stirring constantly until thickened. Season with salt and pepper.

Assemble the Hot Hamburger
Place the cooked hamburger patty on a slice of sourdough bread. Add a generous scoop of mashed potatoes on top, then smother with beef gravy. Top with the second slice of sourdough.
