Roasting Instructions
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- 2
Prepare the Turkey
Pat the turkey breast dry with paper towels. Rub olive oil all over the turkey, then season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and fresh thyme.
- 3
Roast the Turkey
Place the turkey breast in a roasting pan, skin side up. Roast in the preheated oven for about 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Baste the turkey with its juices every 30 minutes.
- 4
Make the Gravy
In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in the flour and cook for about 2 minutes. Gradually add chicken broth while whisking to avoid lumps. Cook until the gravy thickens, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- 5
Rest and Serve
Once the turkey is cooked, remove it from the oven and let it rest for at least 15 minutes before slicing. Serve with the gravy.
