Shrimp and Sauce

Method

Cooking and Serving

  1. 1

    Prepare the Shrimp

In a large pot, combine the water, halved lemon, bay leaves, Old Bay seasoning, and salt. Bring to a boil over high heat.

  2. 2

    Cook the Shrimp

Add the jumbo shrimp to the boiling water. Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque. Do not overcook.

  3. 3

    Cool the Shrimp

Remove the pot from heat and transfer the shrimp to an ice bath to stop the cooking process. Let them cool for about 5 minutes.

  4. 4

    Make the Cocktail Sauce

In a bowl, mix together the horseradish sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, and salt to taste.

  5. 5

    Serve

Arrange the cooled shrimp on a platter and serve with the cocktail sauce on the side. Garnish with paprika if desired.
