Preparation

  1. 1

    Chill the Glass

Place a martini glass in the freezer or fill it with ice water to chill while preparing the drink.

  2. 2

    Mix the Ingredients

In a cocktail shaker, combine the gin, dry vermouth, and olive brine. Fill the shaker with ice.

  3. 3

    Shake or Stir

Shake well for about 15 seconds if you prefer a chilled and slightly diluted martini. Alternatively, you can stir the mixture gently for about 30 seconds if you prefer a smoother texture.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Glass

Remove the martini glass from the freezer or empty the ice water. Strain the cocktail mixture into the chilled martini glass.

  5. 5

    Garnish

Skewer the olives on a cocktail pick and place them in the glass. Add a lemon twist by twisting the lemon peel over the drink to release its oils and then drop it in.
