Salisbury Steak

Prepare the Meat Mixture
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

Whip the Potatoes
In a mixing bowl, combine the drained potatoes, butter, milk, and salt. Use a potato masher or electric mixer to whip until smooth and creamy.
Roasted Carrots

Roast the Carrots
Spread the carrots on a baking sheet in a single layer. Roast in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until tender and slightly caramelized.
Buttered Peas

Cook the Peas
In a small saucepan, bring water to a boil. Add the frozen peas and cook for about 3-5 minutes until heated through. Drain.

Make the Gravy
Sprinkle flour over the mushroom mixture and stir to combine. Gradually add beef broth while stirring. Bring to a simmer and cook until thickened, about 5 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Crispy Shallots

Prepare the Shallots
Slice shallots thinly and toss in flour until well coated.

Fry the Shallots
Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the shallots in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-5 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.
