Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Combine Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt until evenly combined.

  2. 2

    Mix Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted unsalted butter, and vanilla extract until well blended.

  3. 3

    Combine Mixtures

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; some lumps are okay.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Heat the Pan

Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly grease with a small amount of butter or cooking spray.

  2. 5

    Cook the Pancakes

Pour about 1/4 cup of pancake batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges look set, about 2-3 minutes.

  3. 6

    Flip the Pancakes

Carefully flip the pancakes and cook until golden brown on the other side, about another 2-3 minutes. Continue with the remaining batter.

Serving

  1. 7

    Plate the Pancakes

Stack the pancakes on plates and drizzle with maple syrup. Add seasonal fruit on the side or on top as desired.

  2. 8

    Enjoy!

Serve warm and enjoy your fluffy pancakes!
