Preparation
Chill the Glass
Start by chilling your glass. You can do this by filling it with ice water and setting it aside while you prepare the drink.
Add Ice Cubes
In a rocks glass, place 4 ice cubes to chill the bourbon as you pour.
Pour the Bourbon
Measure 2 oz of Bulleit Bourbon and pour it over the ice cubes in the glass.
Add Water
Add 1 oz of water to the bourbon. This step is optional but helps to mellow the flavors.
Garnish
If desired, add a strip of orange peel and a maraschino cherry for garnish. The orange peel adds a lovely aroma and complements the bourbon.
