Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Veal
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Season the veal cutlets with salt and black pepper.
- 2
Breading Process
Set up a breading station with three shallow dishes: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with a mixture of breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese. Dredge each veal cutlet in flour, then dip into the egg, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
- 3
Cooking the Veal
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the breaded veal cutlets and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- 4
Assemble the Dish
In a baking dish, spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom. Place the cooked veal cutlets on top, then cover each cutlet with more marinara sauce and sprinkle mozzarella cheese over them.
- 5
Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- 6
Garnish and Serve
Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh basil before serving.
