Preparing the Burger Patties
- 1
Forming the Patties
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty that is slightly larger than the burger buns.
- 2
Chilling the Patties
Place the formed patties on a plate and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to help them maintain their shape while cooking.
Cooking the Bacon and Onions

Cooking the Bacon
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy, about 6-8 minutes. Remove bacon and place on paper towels to drain excess grease.

Toasting the Buns
While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster.
