Method

Preparing the Meat

  1. 1

    Cook the Pulled Pork

If using cooked pulled pork, simply warm it in a skillet over medium heat until heated through. If starting from raw pork, season with salt and pepper, cook in a slow cooker with a bit of water for 6-8 hours on low, then shred.

  2. 2

    Mix in the BBQ Sauce

Once the pulled pork is heated or shredded, stir in 2 tablespoons of BBQ sauce until well combined. Keep warm for serving.

Preparing the Sides

  1. 3

Cook the Corn on the Cob

Bring a pot of water to a boil, add the corn on the cob, and cook for 5-7 minutes until tender. Remove and let cool slightly before serving.

  2. 4

    Heat the Macaroni and Cheese

If using store-bought macaroni and cheese, follow the package instructions to heat or prepare it according to your preference.

Assembling the Plate

  1. 5

    Plate the BBQ

On a kid-sized plate, place 1 cup of the BBQ pulled pork, and drizzle with additional BBQ sauce if desired.

  2. 6

    Add the Sides

Add the cooked corn on the cob and half a cup of macaroni and cheese alongside the pulled pork.

  3. 7

    Garnish

Top the plate with 3 slices of pickles and a quarter cup of coleslaw for a refreshing crunch.
