Preparation
- 1
Gather Ingredients
Collect all the ingredients needed: 2 slices of bread, 2 slices of cheddar cheese, 2 slices of mozzarella cheese, and 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter.
- 2
Preheat the Pan
Place a skillet or frying pan on medium heat to warm up while you prepare the sandwich.
Assembly
- 3
Butter the Bread
Spread 1/2 tablespoon of unsalted butter on one side of each slice of bread. Ensure the butter is evenly spread for even browning.
- 4
Layer the Cheese
Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, onto a clean cutting board or plate. Layer the cheddar cheese and mozzarella cheese slices on top of the bread.
- 5
Complete the Sandwich
Top the cheese with the second slice of bread, buttered side up.
Cooking
- 6
Grill the Sandwich
Carefully place the sandwich in the preheated skillet. Cook for about 3-5 minutes until the bottom slice is golden brown.
- 7
Flip the Sandwich
Using a spatula, gently flip the sandwich over and cook for another 3-5 minutes until the second side is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
Serving
- 8
Slice and Serve
Once both sides are golden and the cheese is melted, remove the sandwich from the skillet. Allow it to cool for a minute, then slice it in half and serve warm.
