Chicken Tenders
Dipping Sauces
Method
Preparation of Chicken Tenders
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Cut the chicken breasts into strips approximately 1 inch wide.
- 2
Set Up Dredging Station
In three separate bowls, place flour in the first bowl, beaten eggs in the second bowl, and breadcrumbs mixed with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika in the third bowl.
Cooking the Chicken Tenders
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a large skillet or frying pan, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). You can test the heat by dropping a small piece of bread into the oil; it should sizzle.
- 4
Dredge the Chicken
Take each chicken strip and coat it in flour, then dip it into the beaten eggs, and finally coat it in the breadcrumb mixture.
- 5
Fry the Chicken Tenders
Carefully place the coated chicken strips in the hot oil, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 74°C).
- 6
Drain and Cool
Once cooked, remove the chicken tenders from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
