Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare Ingredients

Gather all your ingredients. If using optional fillings, chop the vegetables (bell peppers, onion, spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes) and shred or dice the cheese.

Cooking

  1. 2

    Beat the Eggs

In a mixing bowl, crack the three eggs. Add salt and black pepper. Beat the eggs with a fork or whisk until fully combined.

  2. 3

    Heat the Pan

Place a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add the butter. Allow the butter to melt and become bubbly, but not browned.

  3. 4

    Cook the Eggs

Pour the beaten eggs into the skillet. Let the eggs cook undisturbed for about 1-2 minutes, or until the edges start to set.

  4. 5

    Add Fillings

Using a spatula, gently lift the edges of the omelette and tilt the pan to allow uncooked eggs to flow to the edges. When the top is still slightly runny, add your choice of fillings (cheese, vegetables) on one half of the omelette.

  5. 6

    Fold and Finish Cooking

Carefully fold the omelette in half over the fillings. Let it cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the omelette is fully cooked.

  6. 7

    Serve

Slide the omelette onto a plate and serve hot. Enjoy your delicious omelette with your choice of sides!
