Chicken Wings

Method

Preparing the Chicken

  1. 1

    Season the Wings

In a large bowl, season the chicken wings with salt and black pepper. Make sure they are evenly coated.

  2. 2

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to prepare for baking the chicken wings.

Making the Kentuckyaki Sauce

  1. 3

    Combine Sauce Ingredients

In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil. Stir well to dissolve the sugar.

  2. 4

    Simmer the Sauce

Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens slightly.

Baking the Wings

  1. 5

    Bake the Wings

Place the seasoned chicken wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, turning halfway through, until crispy and cooked through.

  2. 6

    Coat with Sauce

Once the wings are done, transfer them to a large bowl and pour the Kentuckyaki sauce over them. Toss well to coat evenly.

Serving

  1. 7

    Garnish and Serve

Transfer the coated wings to a serving platter. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot.
