Mojito Ingredients
Method
Mojito Preparation
- 1
Muddle Ingredients
In a sturdy glass, add the fresh mint leaves and granulated sugar. Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently crush the mint leaves with the sugar to release the mint oils. Be careful not to shred the leaves too much.
- 2
Add Lime Juice
Pour the fresh lime juice into the glass with the muddled mint and sugar mixture. Stir gently to combine the ingredients.
- 3
Add White Rum
Pour 2 oz of white rum into the glass. Stir the mixture well to ensure all ingredients are blended.
- 4
Add Ice
Fill the glass with ice cubes to the top, allowing the ice to chill the mixture.
- 5
Top with Soda Water
Slowly pour 4 oz of soda water over the ice. This adds fizz and lightens the drink.
- 6
Garnish and Serve
Garnish the mojito with a lime wedge and a sprig of mint. Serve immediately with a straw or spoon.
