Preparation of Toppings

Chop the Tomatoes
Wash and dice the tomatoes into small cubes. Place them in a mixing bowl.

Prepare the Basil
Rinse the fresh basil leaves under cold water, pat dry, and chop them coarsely. Add to the mixing bowl with tomatoes.

Slice the Mozzarella
Cut the fresh mozzarella cheese into small cubes or slices, depending on your preference, and add them to the bowl.

Season the Mixture
Drizzle the olive oil and balsamic vinegar over the tomato, basil, and mozzarella mixture. Add salt and black pepper to taste. Mix gently.

Toast the Baguette
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the baguette diagonally into 1/2 inch thick slices. Arrange the slices on a baking sheet.

Bake the Slices
Bake the sliced baguette in the preheated oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
