Vegetable Assortment

Method

Hummus Preparation

  1. 1

    Blend Ingredients

In a food processor, combine the canned chickpeas, tahini, garlic cloves, lemon juice, olive oil, ground cumin, salt, and water. Blend until smooth.

  2. 2

    Adjust Consistency and Flavor

If the hummus is too thick, add more water, a tablespoon at a time, until desired consistency is reached. Taste and adjust salt or lemon juice if needed.

  3. 3

    Serve

Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl, drizzle with additional olive oil, and sprinkle with paprika.

Vegetable Preparation

  1. 4

    Prepare Vegetables

Wash and peel (if necessary) the carrots. Cut them into sticks. Slice the cucumbers into rounds. Core and cut the bell peppers into strips. Trim the radishes and cut them in half. Rinse the cherry tomatoes.

  2. 5

    Arrange on Platter

Arrange the prepared vegetables on a large serving platter around the hummus.

Garlic Flatbread Preparation

  1. 6

    Activate Yeast

In a small bowl, combine warm water and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.

  2. 7

    Make Dough

In a large bowl, combine all-purpose flour and salt. Add the activated yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.

  3. 8

    Knead Dough

Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until it's smooth and elastic.

  4. 9

    Let Dough Rise

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.

  5. 10

    Shape Flatbreads

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Punch down the risen dough and divide it into 6 equal portions. Roll each portion into a flatbread shape.

  6. 11

    Add Garlic and Herbs

Brush each flatbread with olive oil, sprinkle with minced garlic and dried herbs.

  7. 12

    Bake Flatbreads

Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes until lightly golden.

  8. 13

    Serve

Serve the warm garlic flatbreads alongside the hummus and vegetables.
