Method
Prepare Tomato Mixture
- 1
Chop the Tomatoes
Wash the heirloom tomatoes and chop them into small cubes. Place them in a mixing bowl.
- 2
Add Basil and Seasoning
Chop the fresh basil leaves and add them to the bowl with tomatoes. Season with balsamic reduction, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently to combine. Set aside to marinate for at least 15 minutes.
Make Garlic Parmesan Toast
- 3
Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- 4
Prepare the Bread
Slice the baguette or Italian bread into 1/2 inch thick slices.
- 5
Mix Olive Oil and Garlic
Mince the garlic cloves and mix them with olive oil in a small bowl.
- 6
Toast the Bread
Brush both sides of the bread slices with the garlic oil mixture. Place them on a baking sheet and sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes or until golden and crispy.
Assemble Bruschetta
- 7
Top the Toast
Once the bread is toasted, remove it from the oven and let it cool slightly. Spoon the marinated tomato mixture generously onto each slice of toasted bread.
- 8
Serve
Arrange the bruschetta on a serving platter and enjoy immediately while the toast is still warm.
