Jalapeno Cheddar Biscuits

Nutella Monkey Bread

Method

Jalapeno Cheddar Biscuits

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.

  3. 3

    Cut in Butter

Cut the cold unsalted butter into small pieces and add it to the flour mixture. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to blend until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

  4. 4

    Add Cheese and Jalapenos

Fold in the shredded cheddar cheese and diced jalapeno until evenly distributed.

  5. 5

    Add Buttermilk

Pour in the buttermilk and stir gently until just combined. Do not overmix.

  6. 6

    Shape the Biscuits

Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and gently pat it into a rectangle about 1-inch thick. Cut into rounds using a biscuit cutter or a glass.

  7. 7

    Bake the Biscuits

Place the biscuits on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.

Nutella Monkey Bread

  1. 8

    Prepare the Dough

Open the pre-made biscuit dough and cut each biscuit into quarters.

  2. 9

    Mix Sugar and Cinnamon

In a medium bowl, mix the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon together.

  3. 10

    Coat Biscuit Pieces

Take each piece of biscuit dough and dip it into the Nutella, then roll it in the sugar-cinnamon mixture until well coated.

  4. 11

    Layer the Dough

In a bundt pan, layer the coated biscuit pieces evenly. You can sprinkle any remaining cinnamon sugar on top.

  5. 12

    Melt Butter

In a small saucepan, melt the stick of unsalted butter over low heat.

  6. 13

    Pour Butter Over Dough

Once the butter is melted, pour it evenly over the biscuit dough in the bundt pan.

  7. 14

    Bake the Monkey Bread

Bake in the preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 30-35 minutes or until golden and cooked through.

  8. 15

    Cool and Serve

Allow the monkey bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting onto a serving plate. Serve warm.
