Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Clams

Rinse the clams under cold water to remove any sand or grit. Discard any clams that are open and do not close when tapped.

  2. 2

    Steam the Clams

In a large pot, combine the water, garlic cloves (smashed), lemon (cut in half), salt, and black pepper. Bring to a boil over high heat.

  3. 3

    Add the Clams

Once the water is boiling, add the clams to the pot. Cover the pot with a lid and steam for about 5-7 minutes, or until the clams open up.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Broth

In a separate small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat and add chopped parsley. Stir until combined. This will be used for dipping.

  5. 5

    Serve

Remove the pot from heat, discard any clams that did not open, and transfer the clams to a serving bowl. Serve with the melted butter and parsley mixture on the side.
