Shrimp Cocktail
Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Shrimp
In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add the shrimp and cook for about 2-3 minutes or until they turn pink and opaque. Remove from heat and immediately transfer the shrimp to an ice bath to stop the cooking process. Let them cool for a few minutes before peeling and deveining.
- 2
Make the Cocktail Sauce
In a bowl, combine ketchup, horseradish, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and salt. Mix well until all ingredients are incorporated. Adjust seasoning to taste.
- 3
Serve
Arrange the cooled shrimp on a platter over a bed of ice. Serve with the cocktail sauce on the side, garnished with fresh parsley.
