Prepare the Glass
Rim the glass with salt. To do this, take a lime wedge and run it around the rim of the glass, then dip the rim into a small plate of salt until coated to your preference.

Mix the Ingredients
In a cocktail shaker, combine 2 ounces of tequila, 1 ounce of triple sec, and 4 ounces of margarita mix. Fill the shaker with ice.

Shake the Mixture
Secure the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds to ensure the mixture is well combined and chilled.

Pour and Serve
Strain the mixture into the prepared glass filled with ice. Garnish with a lime wedge on the rim of the glass.
