Prepare the Glass
Rub a lime wedge around the rim of a glass to moisten it. Dip the rim into salt to coat it well, and set the glass aside.

Mix the Ingredients
In a cocktail shaker, combine 2 oz of tequila, 1 oz of triple sec, and 1 oz of fresh lime juice. Add ice to the shaker.

Shake the Mixture
Secure the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds, until the mixture is well chilled.

Strain and Serve
Strain the mixture into the prepared glass filled with ice. Garnish with a lime wedge on the rim.
