Cinnamon Swirl Filling

Method

Prepare the Pancake Batter

  1. 1

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt until well combined.

  2. 2

    Combine Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, vanilla extract, and melted butter until smooth.

  3. 3

    Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined. Do not overmix; a few lumps are okay.

Prepare the Cinnamon Swirl Filling

  1. 4

    Mix Cinnamon Filling

In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and melted butter until it forms a thick paste.

Cook the Pancakes

  1. 5

    Heat the Griddle

Preheat a non-stick griddle or skillet over medium heat. Lightly grease with butter or cooking spray.

  2. 6

    Pour Batter

For each pancake, pour about 1/4 cup of pancake batter onto the heated griddle.

  3. 7

    Add Cinnamon Swirl

Using a spoon or piping bag, drizzle some of the cinnamon swirl filling over the pancake batter in a spiral pattern.

  4. 8

    Flip Pancakes

Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges look set, about 2-3 minutes. Flip the pancakes and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes or until golden brown.

  5. 9

    Repeat

Repeat the process with the remaining batter and cinnamon filling, greasing the griddle as needed.

Serve

  1. 10

    Plate and Enjoy

Serve the pancakes warm with maple syrup, whipped cream, or your favorite toppings.
