Method

Preparing the Patty

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix until just combined to avoid overworking the meat.

  2. 2

    Form the Patty

Shape the mixture into a patty that is approximately 7 oz in weight and about ¾ inch thick.

  3. 3

    Cook the Patty

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patty for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until it reaches your desired level of doneness.

Assembling the Cheeseburger

  1. 4

    Prepare the Bun

Slice the burger bun in half and lightly toast it on the grill or in a toaster if desired.

  2. 5

    Add the Patty

Place the cooked patty on the bottom half of the toasted bun.

  3. 6

    Add Toppings

Layer the lettuce, tomato slice, and pickle slices on top of the patty.

  4. 7

    Add Mayonnaise

Spread the mayonnaise on the top half of the bun.

  5. 8

    Complete the Burger

Close the burger with the top half of the bun and press down gently.
