Shrimp Mixture

Method

Shrimp Preparation

  1. 1

    Clean the Shrimp

Peel and devein the raw shrimp. Rinse under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Cook the Shrimp

In a skillet over medium heat, melt 50g of the unsalted butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

  3. 3

    Add Shrimp

Add the cleaned shrimp to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until they turn pink and opaque. Season with salt, black pepper, and paprika.

  4. 4

    Combine Ingredients

Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice and chopped parsley. Transfer the mixture into small pots or ramekins.

  5. 5

    Chill the Mixture

Let the shrimp mixture cool slightly, then melt the remaining 50g of butter and pour over the shrimp in the pots to seal. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow flavors to meld.

Toast Preparation

  1. 6

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).

  2. 7

    Prepare the Bread

Slice the baguette or crusty bread into 1-inch thick slices.

  3. 8

    Brush with Olive Oil

Place the bread slices on a baking sheet and brush both sides with olive oil.

  4. 9

    Toast the Bread

Bake the bread in the preheated oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until golden and crispy, flipping halfway through.
