Fried Chicken Sandwich
Method
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Marinate the Chicken
In a bowl, combine the chicken breasts and buttermilk. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight for best results.
- 2
Prepare the Breading
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- 3
Bread the Chicken
Remove the chicken from the buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off. Dredge each piece in the seasoned flour, ensuring it is fully coated. Shake off excess flour.
- 4
Fry the Chicken
In a large skillet or deep fryer, heat oil to 350°F (175°C). Fry the chicken in batches for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.
- 5
Assemble the Sandwich
Toast the brioche buns lightly. Spread mayonnaise on each bun, then layer with lettuce, tomato slices, fried chicken, cheddar cheese, red onion, and pickles. Top with the other half of the bun.
- 6
Serve
Serve the fried chicken sandwiches with a side of hot french fries.
