French Butter
Method
Preparation of French Butter
- 1
Soften the Butter
Take the unsalted butter out of the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes until it is soft and spreadable.
- 2
Mix Ingredients
In a medium bowl, combine the softened butter, sea salt, fresh herbs, minced garlic, and lemon zest. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined and the mixture is smooth.
- 3
Shape the Butter
Transfer the mixed butter onto a piece of parchment paper. Shape it into a log by rolling it tightly in the parchment paper. Twist the ends to seal.
- 4
Chill
Refrigerate the butter log for at least 1 hour or until firm.
- 5
Serve
Once chilled, remove the butter from the parchment paper, slice into rounds, and serve with warm Parker House rolls or any other bread.
