For the Banana Tiramisu
Method
Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Mascarpone Kahlua Mousse
In a large bowl, whisk together the egg yolks and sugar until pale and thick. Gradually add the mascarpone cheese, mixing until smooth. Stir in the Kahlua until well combined.
- 2
Whip the Cream
In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully incorporated.
- 3
Make the Coffee Cremeux
In a small saucepan, heat the brewed coffee until warm. Soak the ladyfinger biscuits briefly in the coffee, one at a time, ensuring they do not become too soggy.
- 4
Assemble the Tiramisu
Layer half of the soaked ladyfingers at the bottom of a serving dish. Spread half of the mascarpone mousse over the ladyfingers. Slice the bananas and layer them on top. Repeat the layers with the remaining ladyfingers, mousse, and bananas.
- 5
Chill and Serve
Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight. Before serving, whip the heavy cream with vanilla extract until soft peaks form, and spread it over the tiramisu. Dust with cocoa powder.
