Pasta

Method

Preparation of Pasta

  1. 1

    Cook the Pasta

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the elbow macaroni and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Béchamel Sauce

  1. 2

    Make the Béchamel

In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Whisk in the flour and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly until it forms a roux. Gradually add the whole milk, whisking continuously until the sauce thickens and is smooth, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt, black pepper, and nutmeg.

Combine Ingredients

  1. 3

    Add Cheese and Lobster

Remove the béchamel sauce from heat and stir in the shredded cheddar and Gruyère cheese until melted and smooth. Add the cooked macaroni and chopped lobster meat to the cheese sauce, mixing until all the pasta is well coated.

Baking

  1. 4

    Prepare the Topping

In a small bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, and olive oil. Mix until the breadcrumbs are evenly coated.

  2. 5

    Assemble and Bake

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Transfer the lobster mac and cheese mixture into a greased baking dish. Evenly sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture on top. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
