Method

Preparing the Coffee

  1. 1

    Brew the Coffee

In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Remove from heat and add 1 cup of Local Slacktide Coffee grounds. Let it steep for 4-5 minutes.

  2. 2

    Strain the Coffee

After steeping, strain the coffee through a fine mesh sieve or coffee filter into a pitcher. Allow it to cool to room temperature.

Mixing the Juices

  1. 3

    Juicing Fruits

Using a juicer, extract 1 cup of fresh grapefruit juice, 1 cup of fresh apple juice, and combine it with 1 cup of cranberry juice in a large mixing bowl.

  2. 4

    Combine Mixture

Stir the juice mixture until well integrated. You can adjust sweetness by adding honey or sugar to taste.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Combine Coffee and Juice

In a large glass or pitcher, combine the cooled Local Slacktide Coffee with the juice mix. Stir well to combine.

  2. 6

    Serve Over Ice

Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the iced coffee juice mixture over the ice.

Garnishing

  1. 7

    Add Garnishes

Garnish each glass with a wedge of grapefruit, a slice of apple, and a few fresh mint leaves for a refreshing touch.
