Method

  1. 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 2

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

  3. 3

In a separate large mixing bowl, cream together the unsalted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

  4. 4

Beat in the egg and vanilla extract into the butter-sugar mixture until well combined.

  5. 5

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.

  6. 6

Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed.

  7. 7

Spread the cookie dough evenly into a 10-inch cast-iron skillet or oven-safe pan.

Baking and Serving

  1. 8

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set.

Remove from the oven and let cool for about 10 minutes.

  3. 10

    Add Toppings

Scoop the vanilla ice cream on top of the warm cookie skillet and drizzle with chocolate sauce.

  4. 11

    Serve

Serve immediately while the cookie is warm and the ice cream is melting.
