Chicken Tenders

Method

Chicken Tenders

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Cut the boneless chicken breasts into strips about 1 inch wide.

  2. 2

    Set Up Breading Station

In three separate bowls, set up the breading station: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.

  3. 3

    Bread the Chicken

Dredge each chicken strip first in flour, then dip in the beaten eggs, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mixture. Press the breadcrumbs onto the chicken to ensure they adhere well.

  4. 4

    Heat Oil

In a large skillet or deep fryer, heat the cooking oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  5. 5

    Fry the Chicken

Carefully add the breaded chicken tenders to the hot oil in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from oil and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

Fries

  1. 6

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the russet potatoes and cut them into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick.

  2. 7

    Soak the Fries

Soak the potato strips in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and pat dry with a paper towel.

  3. 8

    Heat Oil for Frying

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the cooking oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  4. 9

    Fry the Fries

Carefully add the potato strips to the hot oil in batches. Fry for about 4-6 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and place on a paper towel-lined plate. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
